"When"

The Northern Ireland border conflict, The Troubles, had the official beginning and end date of 1968 to 1998. Riots began in the early 60 but became extremely violent in 1968, resulting in the conflict becoming globalized and officially beginning. Through out the course of the conflict, large protest groups began showing themselves throughout Ireland and Great Britain. The the mid-90s, violence began to slow down. Soon, the Belfast Agreement would be signed on April 10, 1998. The Belfast Agreement established the Northern Ireland Assembly and set up new legislative powers in Ireland. Although the conflict has died down, violence occasionally occurs. Since 1968, over 3,500 people have died.
